Experienced female Housekeeper – Full time permanent live-in role – required in Rolle, Switzerland to start ASAP – LATEST 20 May 2020
Experienced permanent full-time live-in housekeeper with a friendly and willing disposition sought for a family based 40 minutes by car outside of Geneva.
The Housekeeper role duties include cleaning, tidying, laundry and ironing including hand washing, managing the wardrobes, packing and unpacking suitcases, arranging dry cleaning, driving, shopping, accepting calls and deliveries. Housekeeper will also be able to do family-style cooking for the family. Must be able to drive.
Must have at least five years’ experience in a similar role, have a proactive approach to work with the ability to have little supervision. Must have an eye for detail and speak a good level of English. Requirement for recent DBS or happy to undergo a new check before commencing the role.
Accommodation will be provided: 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom (not ensuite)
Based on a 5. 5-day working week, 1. 5 days off in the week
EU passport holders only
Must be able to travel at times with family too
Languages: English or French speaker
Salary: Up to 4, 500 CHF net per month. We will organise re: paying candidate’s taxes
Holiday per annum: 5 weeks
Important:
Due to the current situation with COVID 19 and people being required to abide by social distancing rules, the family would like the housekeeper to stick to social distancing as part of their household and to remain within the grounds of their house until further notice. There is a lovely garden on the grounds of the house. It is important that the housekeeper keeps to these social distancing rules and only mixes with the family during this period, as the husband/father has a heart condition so it is imperative these conditions remain until further notice. It is essential the housekeeper understands the importance of sticking to this for the health of the family, particularly for the husband/father’s sake with his heart condition.
A typical day will include the following:
By 8am – breakfast table to be laid
Freshly sliced and prepared fruit on table
To be able to prepare eggs, porridge, granola, pancakes
From 9am to 11 am – prepare/tidy/clean 4 bedrooms upstairs as family go about daily activities
Ensure beds made
Rooms tidy with all clothes put away in cupboards
Do laundry
All cleaning in bedroom/bathrooms, dusting, washing
11am – clear breakfast & prepare for lunch
1. 30pm – lunch to be served
- Family typically eat: steamed/grilled fish, vegetables, salad, thai food such as curries/noodles, quinoa, Greek salad, Mediterranean/Italian food, soups eg: minestrone. Housekeeper would need to be able to prepare/make all of this
1 hour lunchbreak
Afternoon – ensure rest of house such as living room, playroom, other rooms in house are clean. Finish laundry from morning. Do all ironing. Put all clean clothes back in bedrooms. Go to do grocery shopping
6pm – Prepare dinner for family
7pm – Serve dinner for family
8. 30pm – finish (with room for flexibility)
